Bubbles with my brother
I caught these pictures through the front door. It was so sweet to see them hanging out together, enjoying the weather.

Yesterday Ally, Bryan and I had lunch with a friend of mine that I know through the Preemie Scrapbooking online group that I’m in. Her son was a preemie too (of course) and weighed less than one pound at birth! He just turned one year old and his doctors were very happy with his progress at yesterday’s appointments. He goes to a lot of the same doctors that Ally used to. After spending the first 7 months of his life in the NICU, it’s amazing to see him in person as an active little guy that is starting to crawl! They had a good time checking each other out while we got to know his mom a little more!

Nicholas decided to play tennis this spring instead of baseball. He went to a tennis camp last summer in Cleveland and really liked it so he thought he’d give it a try for school! He really likes it so far. Tonight he had a make-up match since 4 out of the last 5 matches have been canceled due to rain. The weather was beautiful! Super sunny and in the mid to low 70’s! He played really well from what we could tell. . to be honest, neither Bryan or I know anything about tennis. I mean nothing. Nicholas is trying to teach us as we go but we still find ourselves standing at the sidelines not knowing what to yell. . .”Yay Nicholas! Great shot. . or hit. . or . . . .whatever. .” We’ll learn I’m sure. .hopefully we won’t embarrass him too much in the process. . .LOL!
Ally had a ball watching Nicholas through the fence. She’d yell “Go Nickwis!” every once in a while. Nicholas said that it was a bit distracting but I think he liked having his own tiny cheerleader 😉

Ally had a great time hunting for her pink and purple Easter eggs and even a better time opening them all up to discover what the Easter Bunny hid in them. We tricked Nicholas into going out to the car to get Ally’s main Easter surprise only to find that we sent him out there to find HIS big Easter surprise. .the new cell phone he’s been wanting!

During the past few Easter family vacations, my sister Anne has put on a tea party for the little girls in the family. They dress up in fancy dresses including white gloves and have little snacks and tea (apple juice). This year Ally was big enough to participate and loved it. Her manners were impeccable . . .for the most part. . .but at 3 feet tall, I can’t blame her for having to stand up on the chair to get more juice. LOL! She looked beautiful in her fancy lavender dress that her great grandma picked out for her!
