Ally’s BFF Annabel’s party was last Saturday. . They had a ball playing in the water, opening presents and eating yummy cake. Ally was sitting on the couch after most of the crowd left watching Frank put together Annabel’s new tricycle. Next thing we knew, she had fallen over. She slept like that for about an hour and a half. . . she was DONE. .It’s hard to have that much fun!

We went to Easton with the Lapoints this afternoon. . it was a beautiful day so we thought we’d bring towels etc. to see if the girls would want to play in the fountain courtyard. Annabel wasn’t very eager to get too near the water sprays. . it comes out pretty hard with quite a bit of volume. It took Ally a little time to get up the nerve. She stood close for a while and enjoyed getting splashed. She got sprayed pretty hard once which scared her, but she did end up having fun for a few minutes while getting cooled off.

Ally’s first house is a quaint ranch, about 12 square feet, with a real doorbell (which is getting a real workout as you can imagine) Going in and out of the door is the other highlight. . .in. .out. .in. . out. . in. . out. . in. . out
She also got a sand & water table for her birthday though we just have water in it now to prevent mud production 🙂 Between these two additions to our yard, she’ll be spending a majority of her summer outside playing house and staying cool!

She’s growing up far to fast for our liking, but we’re enjoying every single moment. The weather for her party was perfect.

and after a long, hard day of playing and present opening, Ally put on her new PJ’s, cuddled up with her new blanket and proceeded to. . . .pass out cold

We met our friends for ice cream last week and the girls got their little baby cones as usual. They tried to eat as fast as they could, but those darn things were melting so fast. .they were covered in ice cream. . dripping down their arms, on their shoes. . I think they enjoyed watching each others mess! Luckily we were headed home so we gave them a quick wipe down and headed home for baths. 🙂 It was messy, but still super cute!

Last weekend we went to Tar Hollow State Park. Bryan went on an intense 23 mile hike with two friends. Nicholas even joined them for two of the shorter sections of the hike. While waiting for the guys to finish one of the sections of the hike, we waited at the Tar Hollow fire tower. Nicholas took the camera and climbed all the way to the top and took some pictures. He made his way all the way down and we teased him that we didn’t get a picture of him all the way at the top because he had the camera. Surprisingly, he climbed the whole thing again so I could document it. .LOL! Ally and I headed back to our campsite while they made their way back. She spent hours in her little inflatable swimming pool while I got dinner started. Gorgeous weekend and a gorgeous State Park!!

We went to the Asian Festival with Frank, Amber and Annabel again this year. They brought matching outfits for the girls back from Vietnam so there was no question what they were going to wear to the festival 🙂 We stopped for a few minutes to cool off in the shade and the girls started playing hide and seek around the big tree we were standing under. It was pretty darn adorable. It’s so cool to see such good friends at such a young age!

As the girls were heading around the tree at the same time, they crashed into each other and I just happened to take a picture at the moment of impact. They were both perfectly fine. . just bounced off of each other and kept going. . .but it made for a funny picture! 🙂
