A couple of weeks ago, Ally and I went to Croton to pick up Nicholas from grandma and grandpa Price’s house. The 150th year of the Hartford Fair was wrapping up so we got there just in time to enjoy seeing the animals, displays and to get some awesome fair food. Ally wouldn’t go near the cows (too big I think). . . but the goats, sheep and chickens were just her size . . .Nicholas helped her scope out the extra friendly ones that were eager to have someone pet them. She thought that the one goat was going to ‘get’ her so she squealed and turned to Nicholas giggling hysterically. The roosters in the poultry barn were especially noisy and one was consistently crowing every minute or so. Ally waited in anticipation for the next one. . .then would scrunch up her face and giggle. . .when he was done, she said ‘LOUD!” then would settle back against Nicholas again to wait. . . . . . . .I love that picture. . .the way she’s leaning back into Nicholas- it’s funny that it just happened to be taken in the midst of chickens, roosters, ducks and rabbits 🙂
And here is Ally enjoying HER fair food. . .a huge corn dog and fries. We won’t talk about the gyro, fries, and elephant ear that I ate or the numerous strombolies and elephant toes that Nicholas had while at the fair 🙂 YUMMMM
And to end this Hartford Fair post, here is a smooch from one of the friendly locals!

I just love these pictures. The bright pink of Ally’s shirt against the bright green grass is so pretty. . .These were taken in mom and dad’s back yard in Croton. We all spent most of the day at the Hartford Fair. Ally took a 3 hour nap then ventured outside to explore the yard.

Like most kids, Ally loves McDonald’s. . and Wendy’s. . she really doesn’t care. Over the past year when we’ve struggled to get her to eat or eat enough, one pretty sure-fire way to get something in her was to get her nuggets and fries. It might not be the most nutritious, but it’s something-
She’s graduated to cheeseburgers occasionally but the fries are a must. Even now, when we go through ANY drive thru. .even Walgreens, she perks up and says ‘fench fies’??? as we pull away. We admittedly have gone through the nearest drive through for her at times. Our philosophy with Ally is to feed her whatever, whenever, wherever she’ll eat.
Early on, Ally learned that she LOVES ketchup. She’s been known to dip everything from corndogs to green beans and cantaloupe in her ketchup. . .AAACK! Bryan left her pacifier on her high chair tray once and we caught her dipping her pacifier in the ketchup and sucking it off… She’ll just eat it with a fork, spoon, finger. . .whatever.
And here are some photos of her thoroughly enjoying some McD’s ketchup. 🙂

It’s in her first pony-tail! OK, it’s a stretch, but it’s there! She’s been wearing her hair in a top whale-spout type style for a while, but this was the first time I’ve been able to somewhat successfully get most of it together in the back (with the assistance of a couple little clips)
