Exactly what is happening here?

Published by under family

Any guesses? Yes, she’s awake. I’m not sure why but Bryan has the magic touch when it comes to cutting Ally’s nails. She’ll let me do it but I have to wrangle her to get her to hold still long enough for me. THIS is what happens when Bryan does it. Have you ever seen something like this? She lays motionless. LOL!

I think she was irritated here that I was disturbing her spa pedicure session with photos. How is this for a dirty look?? 🙂

Our little ragamuffin

Published by under family

Yesterday while I was fixing dinner, Ally decided to help herself to some cereal. I knew she had the container but I admittedly wasn’t paying attention to details. A few minutes later I looked over at her while talking to Bryan and cracked up as I finally took in the ‘whole picture’ !! Note the following: she is only wearing one shoe, her barrette is missing so her hair is in her face and she is eating cereal right out of the container! Though it looks like she was fending for herself, I swear we were right there. . . LOL! Gotta love a little ragamuffin!

Silly siblings

Published by under family

Nicholas brought some suckers home from AWANA on Monday and shared with Ally. They were cracking each other up being silly together. It’s so nice to see them interact like this. I’ll be sure to look back on posts like this when they’re screaming at each other in a couple of years. . LOL!

What a face!

Published by under family

After being sick for over a week, we’re SO glad to have our silly, happy little girl back. She had to have steroid injections to help clear up some recent respiratory issues. The steroids came with some nasty (pun intended) side effects. Ally turned VERY grouchy and was just overall very irritable with crazy mood swings. While steroids usually increase your appetite, Ally refused to eat and drink for days. She was borderline dehydrated which was stressful as we offered her anything and everything trying to get her to drink. She is FINALLY eating and drinking again though she did lose about a pound. All from a common cold that she tried really hard to turn into pneumonia. Glad to have our ‘ol Ally back!

Saturday morning pancakes

Published by under family

One of the all-time favorite breakfasts in our house is home-made cornmeal pancakes. Even Ally has loved them since she was able to eat table food. Bryan requested them on Saturday so Ally helped me whip some up. She did good using the wisk helping me mix in the last of the flour.
