No more band! Ally finished her DOCband treatment about 2 weeks before we projected. Her head looks great! I found an idea online to make little girls’ dresses out of thrift store button-up shirts and pants out of the sleeves. This is the first set I made her- (more to come I’m sure-it was a lot of fun!) Pretty stinkin’ cute, huh?

Our friends John and Stacy just had a baby . . . .JT joined the world on July the 9th about 9:00 am in the morning. He was 6 lbs and 15 oz. JT will likely be one of the next great sports players of our time. It is unclear at this point if it will be for baseball or football; while OSU has already been in contact, there is no strong commitment.

We have been in our house since 1999, and the carpet was done. Besides we can’t have our cute little pumpkin crawling around on old carpet.
So we decided to have bamboo flooring put down on the entire first floor. We also had slate put in the kitchen and the bathroom. We have been talking about it for a long time, and finally we were able to do it.
Here are some progress pictures:

We met some friends for ice cream tonight and Ally enjoyed some black raspberry sorbet. Her new band decorations feature a trail of cute little ladybugs all over and “Cute as a Bug” on the back. More pix of that to come soon.

I was chatting with someone on the DOCband web site recently and found out that they live only 5 minutes away from us! Their daughter, Kendall, is only about 3 weeks older than Ally and got her DOCband last week! We met for ice cream tonight so the girls could meet. I think we’re going to be getting together a lot now that we have so much in common-

Ally loves to look out the sliding glass door, especially when the dogs are outside. Here she is after a particularly messy lunch where her shirt didn’t fare so well and got promptly thrown in the washer. 🙂
