MBC Columbus meets twice a week on Tuesday and Wednesday and once a month on Saturday at the Grove City Karate dojo. Our normal training consists of about a half hour of conditioning, followed by all the basic MBC drills. After this warm up, there is a teaching period where new material is introduced and practiced. The session ends with practical application excercises (a type of free receiving or sparring)

While most of us who train are also students of a traditional martial arts, this training does not include any tradition, beyond some of the common Mike-ism. We train in what we wear on the streets and the merits of a technique is not routed in history but effectiveness. This is a combatives class plain and simple.
