Nicholas brought some suckers home from AWANA on Monday and shared with Ally. They were cracking each other up being silly together. It’s so nice to see them interact like this. I’ll be sure to look back on posts like this when they’re screaming at each other in a couple of years. . LOL!

After being sick for over a week, we’re SO glad to have our silly, happy little girl back. She had to have steroid injections to help clear up some recent respiratory issues. The steroids came with some nasty (pun intended) side effects. Ally turned VERY grouchy and was just overall very irritable with crazy mood swings. While steroids usually increase your appetite, Ally refused to eat and drink for days. She was borderline dehydrated which was stressful as we offered her anything and everything trying to get her to drink. She is FINALLY eating and drinking again though she did lose about a pound. All from a common cold that she tried really hard to turn into pneumonia. Glad to have our ‘ol Ally back!

One of the all-time favorite breakfasts in our house is home-made cornmeal pancakes. Even Ally has loved them since she was able to eat table food. Bryan requested them on Saturday so Ally helped me whip some up. She did good using the wisk helping me mix in the last of the flour.

After mixing for a little bit she said “This hawd. I vewy tired” and she held her arm. . LOL

Not sure exactly what she is doing here. . . but it cracked me up! 🙂

Don’t you just love the ultra dry winter air that plays havoc with your laundry and hair? Ally was playing inside of her pop up tent when Nicholas saw her new hair-do. . .LOL! Who’s ready for some warm weather and sunshine?!? 🙂

I’m spending an unexpected day at home since Ally’s sitter is sick. . Ally has been playing with her Little People castle most of the morning . . I brought her princess dress up stuff down from her room and she’s had it on for hours. . .Our princess playing in her castle! The sun is so pretty shining in through the back doors. . I had to grab a few pictures and share part of our rare weekday at home together.

Ally got to play in the snow for the first time tonight!!
Her first winter, she was too young, last winter she was sick a lot and when she wasn’t sick, we didn’t have any snow! We bundled her up in her boots, snowpants, coat, hat and gloves. . .By the time we got her out there it was about up to her knees. .Nicholas pulled her around in her sled for a while, they stopped occasionally to catch some of the fluffy snowflakes then they both ‘helped’ Bryan clean off the driveway, sidewalk and cars. I’m not sure how much help she was, but she sure had fun! Hopefully the snow sticks around for a few days so we can go out and play some more!
